Pretty light agenda this time around.
- The election results were certified adding to the City Council the two winners Tiffany Ackley and Max Duncan.
- Additionally, Measure A was certified, limiting council members to two four-year terms. For an interesting interpretation of a similar law in Irvine, check out this guy: https://voiceofoc.org/2022/12/irvine-city-councilman-resigns-for-a-week-to-skirt-term-limit-rules/ He resigned right before the end of the fourth year so that he didn’t “serve two four-year terms” and can run for a third time.
- There was a farewell to outgoing council member David Harrington
- The council selected Richard Hurt for Mayor in 2023.
- The council also selected Mike Munzing for Mayor Pro Tem in 2023.
- The next two meetings have been canceled due to the holidays and the next meeting will take place on January 18, 2023.
